Tuğra İsminin Kur’an’daki Anlamı

Tuğra is a name of Arabic origin that is commonly used in the Muslim world. It is derived from the Arabic word “tughra,” which refers to a calligraphic signature or monogram used by Ottoman sultans and other high-ranking officials. The tughra was typically a complex and elaborate design that incorporated the sultan’s name, titles, and other symbols.
In the Quran, the word “tughra” is not used in the sense of a calligraphic signature. However, the word does appear in the Quran in a different context. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 255, the Quran states:
“Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they do not encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not burden Him. He is the Most High, the Most Great.”
In this verse, the word “tughra” is used to refer to the “Kursi,” which is the throne of Allah. The Kursi is described as being vast and encompassing, and it is said to extend over the heavens and the earth. This verse suggests that the Kursi is a symbol of Allah’s power and authority.

Tuğra, Arapça kökenli bir isimdir ve Müslüman dünyasında yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Osmanlı sultanları ve diğer yüksek rütbeli yetkililer tarafından kullanılan hat sanatı imza veya monogram anlamına gelen Arapça “tuğra” kelimesinden türemiştir. Tuğra, genellikle padişahın adını, unvanlarını ve diğer sembolleri içeren karmaşık ve ayrıntılı bir tasarımdı.

Onları koruyup gözetmek O’na ağır gelmez. O, yücedir, büyüktür.”
Bu ayette “tuğra” kelimesi, Allah’ın tahtı olan “Kürsi”yi ifade etmek için kullanılmıştır. Kürsi, geniş ve kapsamlı olarak tanımlanmıştır ve gökleri ve yeri kapladığı söylenmiştir. Bu ayet, Kürsi’nin Allah’ın gücünün ve otoritesinin bir sembolü olduğunu göstermektedir.
